An Apple representative told MacRumors that supplies are beginning to disappear, and are pushing customers to the reserve page to ensure they get a device rather than leaving the store empty handed.
9to5mac received a clarification concerning the reservation process and walk-in availability from the Apple Store Daily Download. Each evening from 9PM to Midnight, iPhone 4S buyers can log on to reservation system via www.apple.com/retail/iphone.
The iPhone 4S will be available for walk-in as well. After 6PM all unclaimed reservations will be forfeited and available for walk-in customers.
